Community Involvement

In striving to teach media arts with ethics and responsibility, MAACS seeks to teach students the importance of collaboration, citizenship, service leadership and community enhancement through programs of mentorship, internship and community based projects.

The Documentary Film Class, taught by Jesse Lenderman, worked tirelessly through the fall of 2009 to produce a half hour long documentary film on Dismas House- a program that helps people returning to life after jail. An excerpt of this impressive and inspiring project can be seen below.
